Are there any fees to attend STA's auctions?
There are NO fees to attend or register to bid for our auctions.
What do I need to bid on-site?
ONE simple step: Register! It takes less than 10 minutes to register and the best part is that you will only need to bring a current photo ID and if applicable, bring your tax exemption paperwork. All bidders are required to register and obtain a Bidder Number.
What do I need to bid online?
If you can't make it to our location in Donna, TX. You can always bid online directly with Proxibid and EquipmentFacts. An account validation, personal and billing information are required.
How do I pay?
We offer multiple ways to pay your invoices. Full payment by cash, company checks, credit card or wire transfer are accepted. Once you have received your invoice full settlement shall be made within 48 Hours of the Auction Sale.
What is "Buyer’s Premium"?
A buyer’s premium is charged to each lot sold in an auction. This fee is collected to help us cover the cost of doing the auction. The standard fee is 10% on each lot.
If I buy something that requires a title? Is there a title fee?
Yes, we are licensed dealers in Texas and process all titles according to the laws of the state. We are required to collect the sales tax and submit the title paperwork to the state. We cannot give you an open title. If you are an automotive dealer, then the titles will be processed dealer to dealer.
A title fee is charged to any auction item sold in the auction that is titled. The fee is $55 and is paid by both dealers and public buyers. We collect this fee to cover the expense of processing a title.
Do I pay sales tax?
All buyers pay sales tax unless you have a valid resale certificate, and the item is being purchased for resale or being exported out of the United States. All Federal, State, and Local taxes will be collected per the requirements of the location.
What is the CC (Credit Card) fee on my invoice?
We automatically add an extra 3.5% fee to all of our buyers’ invoices but this will be charged ONLY when you pay with a credit card.
ALL ITEMS ARE SOLD “AS IS, WHERE IS”. IT IS THE BUYER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO HAVE THE ITEM INSPECTED TO DETERMINE THE CONDITION, YEAR, MODEL, SERIAL#, & MILEAGE OF THE ITEM FROM YOUR INSPECTION. YOU ARE WELCOME TO INSPECT THE ITEMS MONDAY THRU FRIDAY FROM 8:30 TO 5:30 PM. SATURDAYS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
